Museum Association of India (MAI) conducts All India Annual Museum Conference in collaboration with local museums, institutions, universities and cultural centers at different parts of the country. The idea of All India Annual Museum Conference was formed during the 1st meeting held in Banaras in 1944 with Dr. Moti Chandra and Dr. V S Agarwal. After the 2nd meeting which was held in Presidency college, Madras in 1944, the All India Annual Museum Conferences started.
